After the smashing success of The Nutcracker, Jeng Halili is ready to lead the dancers and audience on to another magical journey.
The Nutcracker, the first outreach production of Montage Dance Theatre, was a smashing success. Under the artistic direction of Jeng Halili, the wonderful production with a cast of professional soloists and nearly 70 student dancers from almost twenty different dance studios, schools, colleges and universities dazzled in front of more than 1,000 people.

Montage Dance Theatre

Artistic Director: Jeng Halili, MA Dance Studies / University of Surrey, England, BA / University of the Philippines, Magna Cum Laude; trained in classical ballet, modern, jazz, tap, Chinese, Indonesian, Polynesian, and Phillipine dances; during her career as a professional ballet and modern dancer, performed in China France, Hong Kong, Phillpines, Sigapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela, United Kingdom, and US; performed with many internationally-reowned dancers, including Fernando Bujones, Patrick Bissell, Leslie Brown, Joyce Cuoco, Martin Van Hamel, Natalie Makarova, Eleanor D'Antuono, and Yoko Morishita; also performed with the Central Ballet of China in Beijing; featured in lead roles in classics such as Don Quixote, Giselle, La Gitana, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and in modern pieces, such as Ang Sultan, Dabaw, Pagsamba.

Associate Artistic Director: Mindy Millard, is currently on staff at Santa Ana College and Saddleback College. She has studied extensively with tap masters Sam Weber, Fred Strickler, Linda Sohl-Ellison, Mark Mendonca and Christy Hernandez. She is currently a member of Rhapsody in Taps, where she has performed the choreography of Linda Sohl-Ellison, Gregory Hines, Fred Strickler, Sam Weber and Brenda Bufalino. Recently, Mindy appeared in the short film Tap Heat, starring Arthur Duncan and Jason Samuels Smith, where she performed choreography by Danny Daniels. She also danced on the 2003 Jerry Lewis Telethon live national television broadcast in an Emmy-winning tribute to tap dancing.

Associate Artistic Director: Gabe Copeland currently dances with Rhapsody in Taps, an innovative Rhythm Tap ensemble headed by Linda Sohl-Ellison. He has studied with many tap greats including extensive training with Joy Hewitt, Chance Taylor, and Linda Sohl-Ellison. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with Dianne Walker and has also worked with the legendary Chester Whitmore in various projects. Gabe is a choreographer and performer for Tap Overload and has performed in many musical theater and dance productions throughout LA and Orange County. In 2005 Gabe was nominated for a Lester Horton award for best male dancer by the DRC.
