With a new performing arts center consisting of a 600-seat theater and a filming studio, a 10,000+ sq. ft. training and rehearsal facility and a growing faculty of distinguished artists and coaches, Montage Group continues to develop its live performance and education operations. Through its outreach education programs, working together with local music teachers, schools and dance studios, Montage Group provides unparalleled learning and performing opportunities for student dancers and musicians in Orange County.

Dance Department

Jeng Halili, artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre, MA Dance Studies/University of Surrey, England; trained in classical ballet, modern, jazz, Chinese, Indonesian, Polynesian and Philippine dances; performed in China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, UK and US.

Mindy Millard Copeland, associate artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre, studied extensively with tap masters Sam Weber, Fred Strickler, Linda Sohl-Ellison, Mark Mendonca and Christy Hernandez; currently a member of Rhapsody in Taps; appeared in film and on TV broadcast.

Gabe Copeland, associate artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre; studied with many tap greats including Joy Hewitt, Chance Taylor, and Linda Sohl-Ellison; currently dances with Rhapsody in Taps; nominated for a Lester Horton award for best male dancer in 2005.

Music Department

Christian Campos, music director of the Pasadena Chamber Orchestra, music director of Horizon Chamber Choir; USC/DMA candidate, USC/MM; has served on faculty of USC Thornton School of Music and Pomona College.

Berenika, Royal Academy of Music (UK), Oxford University (UK)/MM, Harvard University, The Juilliard School; recipient of the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Scholarship and the Arthur W. Foote prize at Harvard; a brilliant pianist who has performed with symphony orchestras around the world.

Sergei Kuznetsov, USC/DMA candidate, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatorium; winner of international piano competition prizes in China (2004), USA (2003, 2005), Canada (2003), Italy (1999)

Yi-Ting Chen, USC/DMA candidate, Yale University/MM, The Juilliard School; winner of many awards including the Eastman School of Music Concerto competition, and two-time winner of the Chamber Honors Competition; served as concertmaster for the Yale Philharmonic Orchestra, the Yale Opera, and the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Xian Zhuo, USC, Yale University, The Royal Northern College of Music, Shanghai Conservatory; 1st Prize winner of China National Competition; praised for his stunning technique and superb artistry, recognized as one of the most impressive cellists to emerge from China.
