Alice in Wonderland
After the smashing success of The Nutcracker, Jeng Halili is ready to lead the dancers and audience on to another magical journey.
Choreographed and directed by Mindy Copeland and Gabe Copeland. A well-known love story told through a brand new performance – in Tap.
The Nutcracker, the first outreach production of Montage Dance Theatre, was a smashing success. Under the artistic direction of Jeng Halili, the wonderful production with a cast of professional soloists and nearly 70 student dancers from almost twenty different dance studios, schools, colleges and universities dazzled in front of more than 1,000 people.

Dance and Theater
Jeng Halili, artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre, MA Dance Studies / University of Surrey, England; trained in classical ballet, modern, jazz, Chinese, Indonesian, Polynesian and Philippine dance; performed in China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK and the US.
Mindy, associate artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre, studied extensively with tap masters Sam Weber, Fred Strickler, Linda Sohl-Ellison, Mark Mendonca and Christy Hernandez; currently a member of Rhap- sody in Taps; appeared in film and on TV broadcast.
Gabe Copeland, associate artistic director / Montage Dance Theatre; studied with many tap greats including Joy Hewitt, Chance Taylor, and Linda Sohl-Ellison; currently dances with Rhapsody in Taps; nominated for a Lester Horton award for best male dancer in 2005.
Gabrielle Castellini, MFA- Yale School of Drama, current faculty member of OCHSA (ballet and drama); as a child performer, toured with several Broadway musicals and performed in numerous ballet and stage performances, both nationally and internationally.
Michelle Timmons, currently working toward a Ph.D. in Critical Dance Studies on full scholarship at UC, Riverside. MA in Performance Studies/New York University, BFA in Ballet and BA in English/Texas Christian University; served as the resident choreographer for Stars Theater Co. and as an adjunct dance faculty member at TCU; worked as a freelance writer for the DANCE magazine of Dallas.
John Nasteff: BA in Film and Electronic Media/Cal State University, Long Beach; founder/director of Velocity Dance Troupe; numerous TV and film credits, a talented young hip hop dancer, choreographer and film director.
Music and Choral
Christian Campos, music director of the Pasadena Chamber Orchestra, music director of Horizon Chamber Choir; USC/DMA candidate, USC/MM; has served on faculty of USC Thornton School of Music and Pomona College.
Dean Anderson, music director of the Fullerton College Symphony and applied professor for violin and viola studies, music director of Montage Youth Orchestra and Irvine Young Concert Artists; MA in Music Performance /University of Missouri; extensive experience collaborating with musical theaters and ballet companies in addition to conducting numerous symphony orchestras.
Maria Bucoy, assistant conductor of the University Singers and Chamber Choir / Cal State University, Fullerton, music director of Montage Youth Chorus and St. Andrew Lutheran Church; completed the coursework of Masters of Music in Choral Conducting/CSUF; an active performing vocalist, performed under the masterful batons of Carl St. Clair, John Williams among others, and with Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops.
Berenika, Royal Academy of Music (UK), Oxford University (UK)/MM, Harvard University, The Juilliard School; recip- ient of the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Scholarship and the Arthur W. Foote prize at Harvard; a brilliant pianist who has performed with symphony orchestras around the world.
Sergei Kuznetsov, an adjunct dance faculty member at TCU; worked as a freelance writer for the DANCE magazine of Dallas. John Nasteff, BA in Film and Electronic Media/Cal State USC/DMA candidate, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatorium; winner of international piano competition prizes in China (2004), USA (2003, 2005), Canada (2003), Italy (1999).
Yi-Ting Chen, USC/DMA candidate, Yale University /MM, The Juilliard School; winner of many awards including the Eastman School of Music Concerto competition, and two-time winner of the Chamber Honors Competition; served as concertmaster for the Yale Philharmonic Orchestra, the Yale Opera, and the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Xian Zhou, USC, Yale University, The Royal Northern College of Music, Shanghai Conservatory; 1st Prize winner of China National Competition; praised for his stunning technique and superb artistry, recognized as one of the most impressive cellists to emerge from China.
Cameron Summers, recordings for Patrick Williams' album twice nominated for 2007 Grammys; performed at the 2008 Grammy Awards Ceremony, 2nd Place winner of National Trumpet Competition;Principal trumpet / American Wind Symphony Orchestra, full scholarships Manhattan School of Music/MM and TCU/BS.
