This cutting edge ensemble will specialize in unique multimedia collaborations with the Montage Dance Theatre and other recording and touring events. Young musicians will not only rehearse and perform the traditional orchestral repertoire, but will also have the opportunity to be selected, based on merit, to experience firsthand the commercial aspect of the musical business - including recording sessions for original film scores and performing with world-class artists!

Members of Montage Youth Symphony will have the privillege to receive coaching sessions from world-class performing artists, many with distinguished academic credentials from some of the best education institutions in world such as Harvard, Yale, Oxford(UK), Juilliard, Royal Academy Music(UK), USC, Manhattan School of Music and Moscow Conservatory of Music.

Through auditions, Montage Youth Symphony Orchestra accepts Grade 6-8, high school and college musician as members

The upcoming auditions for all String, Wind, and Brass players will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10:00am to 4pm. Rehearsals are Tuesday nights from 6pm to 8:30pm beginning September 22, 2009. Performance rehearsals, workshops, and master classes are on Saturday 9am-11:00am. Location of rehearsals: 1014 West Collins Ave, Orange, CA 92867. Most performances take place at Montage's own 600-seat performing arts center stage located in Fountain Valley.
